Monkeys 🐒

Hey this week was sick!
To start off, today for pday we went to a zoo with a member. It was super sick and pretty much destroyed all the time I had on pday, but it was so worth it!! The best part was the monkeys. They have monkeys that just climb all over you when you walk around with some food. It's super sweet and I have pics to explain it better.
Besides pday, we were able to meet with one of our investigators twice! He's a really cool guy from Syria. He lives alone here in Germany, but he is way nice! The first time we met we started talking about the restoration, but he is a little caught up on prophets because he is Muslim. The second time we met he had already read 7 chapters in the Book of Mormon, so that was a big step. He is super friendly and we are workin extra hard to get him on the path towards Christ!
We were also supposed to meet with a couple other of our African investigators, but they were a little busy doing something. We are trying to meet with him to let them know we aren't messing around so they will take us more seriously.
A highlight of the week had to be my personal studies. I was thinking about how lucky I was to be a missionary and be able to feel the Spirit more than once day. But then I realized that you don't have to be a missionary to feel the Spirit every day! We can all study in the scriptures and we can all receive our own personal revelation. I'm very grateful for the Spirit and all that he teaches me!
Well it was a fast week and it's also been a fast pday so I gotta head out! I hope everyone has a great one!

Meine Güte... 50% Fertig

Hey what's up!
This week was great!!! We had a lot of appointments set up, but sadly a lot of the people didn't actually show up to our appointment either. I do have a good story though!! Last week we left the apartment and before we even walked down our street a guy stopped us and said he knew who we were and he was in a hurry. He told us just to give him our number so we whipped a card out, gave it to him, and he took off. Not even 10 minutes later he called us and asked if he could come to our church and we said for sure you can! We told him where the church was and we also set an appointment up with him.
For some reason he wasn't able to make it to church on Sunday and he didn't show up to our appointment on this last Tuesday either. We were really bummed and way confused, because no one asks us for our number and never shows up. We have been praying to be able to come in contact with him again, and are still going forward! So no worries!
We also talked to a lot of people on the street as well!! I'd say the highlight of the week was our appointment with a recently baptized member from Africa. He teaches the Sunday school class at church so we meet with him once a week to help him prepare for that. When we met with him this week he made us some African soup. It was really good, but it was just insanely hot!! He had some African pepper mixed in with the soup and it made it real hot!! We couldn't even finish the soup! It was great though! We had an awesome lesson preparation with him.
Besides that we also celebrated Easter!! On Monday we had a big grill party at a members house and seriously threw down the food there! We talked and laughed a ton, but more important than food and friends was celebrating the new life we receive through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It really doesn't matter what we have done in our lives, or how terrible of a person we may think we are. The redeeming power of the Atonement can completely and eternally cleanse us, we just need to let our Savior and Redeemer into our lives! He lives. He loves us. And He wants to help us. I'm personally very grateful for the opportunity I have to share this message with as many people as I can.
I hope everyone has a great week!! Feel free to email me with any questions, whether it's about church, mission, or just whatever it don't matter!!

Easter!! 🥚🍳

This week was such a weird week!! Kinda one of those weeks you just wanna forget about, but at the same time it's way crazy!! I'm only going to hit the highlights of the week, that way I don't have to write that much. Sorry I'm lazy, just happens when your a 19 year old boy and would rather do fun things on pdays instead of type an email. Not saying you guys aren't worth the writing!!! But you know what I mean.
Anyways!! Last Saturday was really cool. My companion and I received a couple referrals from one of my friends back home (and in the Alpine mission) and they wanted us to just go by and say hi for them! We went by on the first family and the dad answered. I simply told him my name and that I knew a family from the US and they wanted us to stop by and say hi for them. He seemed a little uneasy so I made sure he knew we didn't want to talk about Christ we just wanted to say what up. He said he had no time in the most German way possible and shut the door. Haha whatever we tired.

The second family, we went over and the same thing happened. I made sure they knew my name and that we didn't want to talk about Christ with them we just wanted to say hi for the family that I was friends with. After I told them that they said to come in! My comp and i were so pumped to be able to visit with them! They were really cool! The family was the mom, dad, and there son and daughter. Sadly we didn't get to meet the kids cuz they were at school at the time, but we got to talk with the parents for at least an hour. It was so awesome! We just talked to them about our homes and just some small talk stuff. We never just started teaching them a lesson about our church though, we
were able to teach them the most important points of our church simply through their questions. It was the most amazing thing ever. I am so grateful for the chance I had to be a part of that. I'm very grateful for the family at home that trusted my comp and I enough to go by on their friends. I pray and hope that the family we visited will be able to find eternal happiness.
Fast forward in the week. On Monday we were able to meet with a member in our ward to go give a widow member in the ward a blessing. I feel so bad for this lady, she is not yet in her 70's, but she has had health problems her whole life. We talked with her a little bit, and the gave her the blessing. The Spirit was so strong and i am so glad to have been able to stand in on that blessing. I swear that in every blessing there are more hands on top of ours. I know that the true church is restored onto the earth today and because it is we are able to use the Lords authority to bless the life of others as well as our own.
Ok well there was more in the week but my new baseball glove is calling my name. I hope you guys all have one freakin sweet week! If you haven't seen it yet go watch the video the church put out for Easter! It's way awesome! Also, if someone could tell me who one March Madness you'd be my favorite. Bis später y'all!

General Conference!

This week was super sweet!! We did a lot of finding and actually met some cool people!! We met a guy on the street this week that was really open to talk with us! He was kind of in a hurry because he said his mom was waiting on him to cook food for her, pretty important so we didn't wanna get in the way of that! We did manage to set an appointment up with him next Monday so we are pumped
for that!!
I feel like so much happened this week, but I just can't think of anything! It was just a really fast week!! We did have a super sick pday today!! I was able to find baseball mitts and a ball at a store here so now me and my future comps can play catch! (I bought two). We threw today and it was probably the best day in Germany just because of that. Besides that we had a really solid week and got a ton done!
Just to end, I am so grateful for Conference!! I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like they get better and better every time! Which is crazy!! I'm very grateful for our prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson! He is a huge example of courage for me, I hope that we can all be inspired by the awesome examples of the living apostles and general authorities! But more importantly is that of the Saviors example. I'm very excited to celebrate Easter really soon and I will forever be grateful for his perfect example! I challenge everyone to pray sometime, before or after Easter, it doesn't matter. But ask Heavenly Father to show you the love that Him and His Son, Jesus Christ have for you. Then all you need to do is have the faith that He will show you! I know that They love all of us, and miss us, and love hearing from us!
