Knock before entering

This week was awesome! We were trained on how to use Facebook, which is a little crazy because I never even used it at home. It’s been very helpful and has saved us a lot of time, I’m glad our mission was one of the many that has been selected to use it. We have to constantly be on the ball with it though because of how distracting it can be, but we have been trying our best to use it to fulfill our purpose better!
Other than Facebook, we met with our investigator last week and he is doing good! His name is Jeff, and if you guys could pray for him to be able to find truth in the Book of Mormon that would be great! He wants to be baptized in November, we just haven’t quite found an exact date yet. But we will! He has that desire and testimony as well!
Well just to wrap it up I thought I’d share a funny story from the week. So we have a landlord that will just come into our apartment to fix things. He has a key and it’s pretty convenient but really creepy and kind of intruding. Anyways, this morning I woke up to go to the bathroom just like every morning and when I walked in he and another guy were in there fixing something!! It scared me so bad, I thought someone broke in and we were dead! They were fixing our heater and I guess they rang our doorbell but no one heard it. But dang, this guy doesn’t know what privacy means. He is old and nice so it’s not a huge deal.
WELL! Everyone have a great week! Christ lives and is very mindful of us! He is aware of our needs as well as our wants. He wants us to be happy and He wants to help us achieve that happiness! I hope that everyone can forget the bad in the world and the bad experiences they have had and we can all remember Christ and His Atoning sacrifice just a little but more. I testify of that Atoning power of Jesus Christ, I have experienced it in my own life, and I have seen it change the lives of others. I know it’s real and I know it’s never-ending. Because Christ went through all our hard times that means we can endure them with Him because he experienced all of it! Have a great week!

Elder Ballard Conference!

Sup everyone!!! This week was awesome and a toooon happened!! I’d say the highlight of the week was going to the elder Ballard conference and being able to learn so much from him and the Europe Area Presidency. They are very smart and inspired men and they said a lot of awesome stuff! Elder Ballard talked a lot about Miracles and how to more simply teach as missionaries. I’m very grateful to have been a part of that conference and to be filled with all their awesome advice.
Other than the Elder Ballard conference, we had an awesome district meeting with our district, and we also have had some really awesome member appointments lately. Not that our member appointments before weren’t awesome, but the last couple have been really awesome! Elder Ballard also encouraged us to teach more, whether that’s members or investigators, but to simply just teach more so that we are able to become master teachers. He said the more we teach and use what we have learned in our Personal Study the more we will teach with our own words so the Spirit is there and able to testify of what we say. It was awesome to hear the encouragement of the Apostle to promise us that we can become master teachers.
Well other than that we were able to meet with one of our investigators named Jeff! He’s awesome and knows a lot about religion so it’s been cool to talk about the church in different ways. We are hoping to be able to set a baptismal date with him pretty soon, we are just waiting on the Spirit to testify to him that the Book is true!
Anyways, I’m grateful to be here in Germany at this time. It’s definitely hard to do what the Lord needs us to do instead of what we want to do. But the Lord knows it will benefit us greatly! I’m very grateful for Him and His patience, love, and willingness to keep working with me. He loves us, this church is true, Christ lives and His power is eternal, and I know that we are able to get through our hard times because of Him!! Everyone have a great week and make sure to read in that good Book of Mormon!

Great week!

Hey everyone! This week was great! We were able to attend a baptism that happened within our district and it was amazing! It’s always awesome to be a part of spiritual moments, especially a baptism. Other than the baptism that we helped out at, we did a lot of missionary work!! Just like any other week, but I can’t think of anything crazy from this week!

Sorry for the short email, but I just wanted to end by talking about general conference!! It’s amazing how much revelation and answers we can receive just from studying the general conference talks over again!! I hope everyone can come closer to the Spirit by reading the words of inspired wise people in the church! Have a good week!!

Wings on wings on wings

Hey everyone! This week was great, we got a lot done and had a ton of fun! Hope you all had a great week too! We were able to meet with our recent convert, Lester, and he is doing great but is pretty depressed! Pray for him please! We are trying to get him more involved with the members his age and hoping those friendships will get him more fellowship and people to lean on. He is visiting Ireland this weekend to let off some stress so that should help.
We also had conference this past weekend! The mission has definitely helped me to appreciate Conference a lot more. Back when I was a normal human being I used to just watch Conference in my PJ‘s on my couch... which means I didn’t really get anything out of it. Well as a missionary this is where we receive our revelation to better help the people we are trying to help, and a bunch of other things. I’m very grateful for the Prophet and Apostel's and all the people that helped make general conference possible! It’s so cool that we can watch it just about anywhere in the world! The church is true!
Other stuff that happened in the past 7 days, we had our transfer calls and elder Forsey and I are both staying! This will be our third together and we are really happy about it! Elder Forsey is a great guy and I’ve learned a lot from him! I love how no matter how long you have been in the mission field or how much knowledge you think you may have as a missionary, we can all learn from each other! There are some things that I’m not very good at that elder Forsey is and some things I’m good at the maybe elder Forsey isn’t the best at, just how it goes! I’m very grateful for the revelation that the latter-day prophets have received to help further the work of the Lord.
Well that’s about all I got for the week if you skimmed through and are reading this paragraph, good to ya. Or if you read the whole thing and are now reading this, you’re the real MVP. Or if you just saw my pictures and called it good, don’t worry, I do the same sometimes. Anyways, have a good one!!!

"Make smart choices!"

Hey!!
This week was super sick and a lot happened! Just to start off with the highlight, Lester got baptized on Saturday! It was amazing and you can already tell that he is changed and started a new, better life! We are very happy for him and excited to see him progress. Oh and the reason why I put make smart choices for my title is be abuse he always tells us that every time we leave his house! Haha and he has made a very smart choice by being baptized! I hope that we can all reflect on our own baptisms and realize how important they are for us. When we were baptized that opened the door to eternal life and many many blessings. Lester is aware that it won’t be easy, but he knows that Christ is with him every step of the way! I’m very thankful for the opportunity that we have to be able to be baptized for a remission of our sins!
After the baptism Lester was given the Holy Ghost and ordained a member the next day, which was super cool! Then on Monday we had our Zone Conference. It was great to learn more about how we can better ourselves as missionaries and become more like Christ when we are teaching. I’m very grateful for our Mission president and his awesome testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. He is a huge example to all of us.
Besides that, we have our transfer calls this Saturday so we will see what happens. We are hoping that we are both staying, but Elder Forsey has been in an American area his whole Mission so far (6 months). But you never know what will happen. That’s about all from this week, so I hope everyone has a good one!

Great week!!

This week was awesome but so stressful!! We are just making sure our investigator is ready for his baptism this Saturday! It’s funny that as members we work so hard to help people progress towards baptism, but when it comes time for them to be baptized it’s so stressful! We know that his baptism will be perfect and he will be comforted by the Holy Ghost for sure! Please pray for him so that it all works out! His name is Lester or the tattooed investigator. Haha!
Anyways, another highlight from the week was meeting with our Mission President and having interviews! He’s such a great guy and I’m very grateful to be able to get to know him and work alongside of him.
Besides that, we had quite a few member appointments! I love the members here! They do so much for the missionaries and are always offering us something from off base! I’m very grateful for all that they do and for them letting us into their homes to help invite the Spirit.
Well I know it’s short, but I can’t think fast enough for anything else to say! One of these weeks I’ll think of more than 5 sentences to write down! One last thing I do have for y’all is my testimony! I know this church is true and that Christ leads it! I know that we can be healed through Christ and because of baptism we are able to start life on His path. Because we are on His path after we are baptized we are given His help to help us through this life! I hope everyone will be able to reach out to His outstretched Hand and simply follow Him. Have a great week!!
